Koi Fish
The class project was to create an image (an art piece you may find hanging in a café or somewhere similar) with various shapes and textures. I figured that a koi fish would be a fantastic choice for this project (my love of koi as well as Japanese arts and culture also happened to influence my decision).
To make the image dynamic, I drew inspiration from various Japanese arts and paintings and set the koi tumbling about in a wild storm. The orange colors of the koi and the cool blues of the waves and sky work as complimentary colors while bringing the koi and the vigorous waves to life.
